50 Percent Draft Version of the Phase 2 Seismic Design Criteria
Below are the 50 percent drafts of the four volumes which make up the Seismic Design Criteria now under development by the SAC Joint Venture. These documents are intended to provide engineers with information for the design of new steel buildings, evaluation and upgrade of existing steel buildings, inspection and repair of buildings which may have been damaged in an earthquake, and procedures to ensure that their designs and specifications are implemented correctly and consistently.
These files are being made available in "Acrobat" format and will typically require the Adobe Acrobat plug-in.

These documents have been produced by the SAC Joint Venture for the purposes of preliminary review and coordination between members of the project team. Information presented is known to be incomplete and in some cases erroneous. These documents should not be used for attribution, nor as the basis for engineering decisions.

Submitting Comments on the Draft Seismic Design Criteria
The SAC Joint Venture encourages all interested parties to provide comments on the above documents. General comments may be submitted in any format via mail, FAX, or e-mail to the SAC Technical Office (contact information is given at the bottom of the page). If you wish responses to your specific comments, please download the appropriate file below, enter your comments in the form, and mail, FAX, or e-mail the form to the SAC Technical Office. Written responses can only be provided for comments submitted using these forms.
